2021 Cohort<\/h1>\n

We regret to inform you that HKU-UTokyo Joint Summer Program 2021 will be suspended due to Covid-19 pandemic.<\/h2>\n

HKU Students<\/h2>\n

The program is open to all full-time undergraduate and postgraduate students at HKU, and can be credit bearing or non-credit bearing.<\/p>\n

(1) Credit-bearing <\/strong>(JAPN3031<\/a> Japan in Hong Kong (6 credits))<\/h3>\n

This program is one of the capstone courses listed in the Japan Studies program. Upon completion of the group presentations, the students will write their reflective reports individually.<\/p>\n

Assessment<\/strong>: 100% coursework (group presentation; individual essay)
\nPrerequisite<\/strong>:\u00a0JAPN1011<\/a>, JAPAN2099<\/a> (or equivalent) and the course instructor\u2019s approval<\/p>\n

(2) Non Credit-bearing<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Requirement<\/strong>: Japanese Proficiency Test N2<\/a> or equivalent. Seminars, field trips, and group activities are conducted in Japanese and English.<\/p>\n
